GHPTP Schools Program

As Triathlon is not currently recognized as a mainstream sport, the Geelong High

Performance Triathlon Program felt the need to introduce Triathlon at a junior level

in both primary and secondary schools within the Geelong region.

Since 2005, the GHPTP has visited, given informative talks and run triathlon programs in over 15 primary and secondary schools, with many re-visited to run ongoing clinics and information sessions.

1.  To introduce and assist school kids of all ages to get into the sport of Triathlon

2.  To set up a sport specific network for interested schools to ‘take the next step’ into the sport of triathlon.

3.  To assist the under privileged to be able to ‘individually’ take the next step should they wish to pursue the sport at an entry and junior level.
